1. Who is responsible
Colorize.cc is operated by individual entrepreneur Alexander Sergeevich Kozhevin (ИП Кожевин Александр Сергеевич), taxpayer identification number (INN) 110212288478. In this policy, “we” and “our” refer to the operator of Colorize.cc. Contact: hello@colorize.cc.
This policy applies to the Colorize.cc website, account dashboard and related photo colorization, restoration, upscaling, editing and generation tools. Our Terms of Service explain the conditions for using them.
2. Information we process
Account information: your email address, sign-in method, internal account identifier, account settings, credit balance and transaction history. If you use another supported sign-in provider, we process the information needed to authenticate your account.
Content: the photos and other files you upload, processing instructions, masks, generated results and associated job information. Photos may contain personal information about you or other people. Only upload content you have permission to use.
Service information: IP address, browser and device information, language, pages and features used, timestamps, cookies or browser storage identifiers, error reports and support messages. Diagnostics and product analytics may be linked to your account to investigate errors and understand service usage.
Payment information: payment status, amount, currency, transaction references and account email. Payment providers process card details through their checkout; Colorize.cc does not receive your full card number or security code.
3. Google sign-in and Google user data
Google sign-in is optional and is used only for account authentication. We request the email and OpenID authentication permissions. Google returns an email address and technical authentication information, such as an account identifier and email verification status. We use the email address to find or create your Colorize.cc account. We do not request the profile permission to obtain your name or profile photo.
We do not request permission to read Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Photos, contacts, calendars or YouTube accounts. Photos for processing are supplied by you; they are not imported from your Google account through this sign-in.
A short-lived Google access token is used to verify the sign-in with Google. The sign-in integration does not request offline access or store a Google refresh token. We retain your account email and use our own session token to keep you signed in. Your email is also associated with your credits, purchases, service communications and support requests.
Google account data is not sold, used for advertising targeting, or used to train AI models. It may be processed by our hosting, transactional email, diagnostics and support providers as needed to operate your account. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
You can remove Colorize.cc access in your Google Account connections. This stops future access through that connection; it does not automatically delete the Colorize.cc account or previously uploaded files. Contact us separately to request their deletion.
4. Why we use information
We process information to authenticate you, run the processing jobs you request, display and deliver results, maintain credit balances, handle payments, answer support requests, prevent abuse, investigate errors and improve the service. We also retain information where necessary to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or consent where required. You may withdraw consent for optional processing without affecting processing already lawfully performed.
5. Service providers and disclosure
Operating Colorize.cc requires infrastructure and outside service providers. They may process information needed for hosting and storage, AI image processing, payments, email delivery, customer support, monitoring and analytics. Depending on the tool selected, an image and its processing instructions may be sent to an external AI processing provider.
Our service uses infrastructure including Yandex Cloud and Google Cloud Storage; payments may be handled by Stripe or YooKassa. Analytics and diagnostics may include Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica, PostHog and error-monitoring tools. Customer support may use a chat service. The providers involved depend on the page, region, payment method and tool you use.
We do not sell Google account data or uploaded photos. We do not publish your private uploads as examples or advertising without separate permission. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people and the service against abuse, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards. Information sent to providers is also subject to their applicable service and data-processing terms.
6. Storage, retention and security
Account information is retained while your account is in use and as needed to provide the service. Uploaded files, processing instructions and results may remain in storage so that jobs can finish, results can be downloaded and account history can be available. Colorize.cc is not a permanent archive; keep your own copies.
Retention depends on the type of information, the feature used, your deletion request, operational needs and legal obligations. We do not promise that every file is automatically removed after a fixed period. Payment and accounting records may need to be retained after account deletion; security logs and backups may remain for their operational retention period. Data retained for these purposes is not used to reopen a deleted account.
We use encrypted connections and access controls to help protect information. Some result or download links provide access to a file to anyone who has the link; treat them as private and share them only intentionally. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
7. International processing
Our providers and infrastructure may process or store information in countries other than your country of residence. Applicable privacy protections may differ. Where the law requires safeguards for international transfers, we must use the applicable safeguards or another lawful transfer basis. Contact us for information relevant to your request.
9. Your choices and deletion requests
Contact hello@colorize.cc to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information and uploads. Send the request from the email used for your account and identify whether you want particular files or the entire account deleted. We may ask for proportionate information to verify ownership; do not send passwords or payment card details.
Removing an item from a gallery does not by itself guarantee immediate removal of every stored copy or backup. For a complete deletion request, contact support. We will explain any information that must be retained and respond within the period required by applicable law.
Depending on your location, you may also have rights to receive a copy of your data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent or complain to a data protection authority. Exercising these rights will not result in unlawful discrimination. Deletion may prevent further access to your account, results and remaining service history.
10. Children and other people’s photos
Colorize.cc is intended for people who can lawfully use the service and enter into its terms. If a minor uses it, any consent or supervision required by local law must be provided by a parent or guardian. A family photograph containing a child does not authorize unrelated use or disclosure of that child’s information. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal data without the required permission.
11. Changes and contact
We update this policy when the service or its data practices change and show the updated date above. For material changes, we will provide notice through the service or account email where required. If new Google permissions or a new use of Google data requires consent, we will request it before that use.
